Every Church should be able to offer a list of  their important “What they Believe” beliefs. This is ours, based on the study of the Bible references listed beside the stated belief.  These are stated  as conclusions without explanation here.  Questions are welcome….just read the Bible references first.

  • We believe that the Bible, composed of the Old and New Testaments, is inspired by God and is the only infallible rule for faith and life.  2 Timothy 3.16-17; 2 Peter 1.19-21.

  • We believe in one God eternally existing in three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.   Matthew 28.19; Genesis 1.1-2, 26; John 1.1-3; Acts 5.3-4; Colossians 1.15-19.

  • We believe that Jesus Christ was begotten by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary, that He is fully God and fully Man, and that He is the only Mediator between God and man.  We believe in “that blessed hope,” the personal, imminent return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  Matthew 1.23; Luke 1.32,35; John 1.1-3; 1 Timothy 2.5; John 14.3; Acts 1.11.

  • We believe in the person of the Holy Spirit and that His ministry includes conviction of sin and revealing Jesus Christ to men in regeneration and sanctification.  Acts 5.3-4; John 16.8-11; Titus 3.5;Romans 8.14; 2 Thessalonians 2.13.

  • We believe in the personhood of Satan; that he is the unholy god of this age, and the author of sin, and is destined to eternal punishment in the lake of fire.  Genesis 3.1-5; Matthew 4.1-11; Revelation 20.7-10.

  • We believe that man was created in the image of God, that Adam sinned and thereby incurred spiritual death, which is separation from God.  We believe that all mankind is born in Adam with a sinful nature, and is in need of salvation.  Genesis 1-3; 6.5; Jeremiah 17.9; Romans 1.18-32; 3.9-20, 23.

  • We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures; that all who believe in Him are justified through faith in His shed blood.   We believe in His literal, bodily resurrection,  ascension and promised return.  Matthew 1.21; 1 Corinthians 15.3-4; Romans 5.1; 10.9-10; Ephesians 2.8-10; Matthew 28.1-10; Mark 16; Luke 24.1-12, 50-53; John 20; 1 Corinthians 15; 1 Thessalonians 4.13-18; Acts 1.

  • We believe that each Person of the Trinity is involved in man’s salvation:  the Father elects, the Son redeems, and the Spirit regenerates.  Ephesians 1.4, 7; 2.5; 2 Thessalonians 2.13;1 Peter 1.1-2.

  • We believe that all who by faith receive the Lord Jesus Christ are born of the Holy Spirit and thus are children of God.  Ephesians 2.1-10; John 1.12-13; Romans 8.16-21.

  • We believe in one baptism by the Holy Spirit into one Body of believers worldwide.  Romans 6.3-4; 1 Corinthians 12.13; Colossians 2.11-12.

  • We practice the two sacraments commanded by the Lord Jesus, baptism  and communion.    Matthew 28.19;Mark 16.16; 1 Corinthians 11.23-26.

  • We believe in the bodily resurrection of the just and the unjust.   Ecclesiastes 12.14; John 5.28-29; Romans 2.16; 2 Corinthians 5.10; Revelation 20.12-13.

  • We believe in the priesthood of all believers, and the spiritual unity of all believers.     1 Peter 2.9;Revelation 1.6; John 17.11, 21-23; Romans 12.5; Galatians 3.28; Ephesians 4.3, 13.

  • We believe that human life was created in the image and likeness of God and is therefore sacred, from before birth and into old age; we thus reject the practices of abortion and euthanasia.  Genesis 1.26-27; 9.6.

  • We believe that marriage is a sacred institution before God, and can only be between one man and one woman.  Genesis 2.24; Ephesians 5.22-33.
