Liberty Corner Bible Church is an independent, non-denominational  Church, in that many of our present congregation come from a variety of protestant congregations, and we have no formal denominational ties at this time.  All members share the core understanding that Jesus Christ, God in the flesh,  once lived among us and the realization that what Christ taught is trustworthy because everything He taught was authenticated by His resurrection.  He taught much about Himself, about creation, about past revealed scriptures, as well as about what is coming to pass now and is yet to come.

Of most importance to us as a Church and mankind overall, Christ taught how He came to redeem fallen man and restore the relationship between mankind and God through His saving work.  In the Bible it is written that God so loved us that he gave His only son, sinless Christ, (John 3:16), to bear our punishment for our sins so that you and I could be reconciled to a Holy God.  Although Christ was crucified to redeem us, He arose from the dead, and by doing so demonstrated that He is the Redeemer Savior God that He taught us that He is.

We welcome visitors, rejoicing to meet new folks who are, OR, might become, through the mystery and power of God’s Grace, brothers or sisters in Christ.

Our History

Liberty Corner Bible Church meets on the campus of Fellowship Deaconry Ministries, a Christian conference center, day camp, and preschool, located in Liberty Corner, New Jersey. The founders of this ministry were Protestant Sisters who had immigrated from Germany in 1929.

The original Liberty Corner Bible Church was established, in part, by believers who lived and worked on these grounds. It grew as others joined them from surrounding communities, many of whom learned the truth of Christ as a result of these ministries. Most of the Sisters have returned to their homeland or have moved up to their Eternal Home. The remaining Sisters continue to serve and worship in our renewed Liberty Corner Bible Church.

Our Faith

Our human nature often wants to accept some behaviors that God rejects. But the Truth matters. To learn God’s truth and to learn to walk rightly with Him is a choice, one that, as explained in Scripture, has eternal consequences.

The source of the key truths listed in our Statement of Faith (link below) is scripture alone.  We hold these to be  KEY truths, not because the Statement of Faith is an exhaustive list of Christian beliefs but because these particular God-revealed truths serve as guidelines for so many of our congregation’s decisions and actions. The Bible references on which each belief stands are provided for your study and verification.  Click Here for Statement Of Faith.

Our Worship Services

Worship is what we do in the presence of divine truth”

Our Services are on Sundays at 11:00 AM and Wednesdays at 7:30 PM.   We worship our Holy God through hymns, spiritual songs, and a message prepared by Pastor Jack.   The pastor preaches  Christ, crucified, risen, and coming again as it was prophesied in the Old Testament and fulfilled in the New Testament.  All preaching and teaching are to grow our confidence and faith in the truth of Christ and the truth of the Bible.

Our Sunday Morning service is held in Maranatha Chapel, occasionally we meet in the Sisters’ home (also called the Motherhouse).  Signs are posted when we change meeting locations.  Our Wednesday Prayer and Bible Study always meets in the Sister’s Living Room of the Motherhouse.

Church Membership

Several logs burn brightly together: but put one aside on the cold hearth and the fire goes out. So, it is with our relationship with other Christians. We can learn better “how to walk in the newness of life” as part of a Bible-believing, Christ-honoring church than as individuals. If you do not belong to a church, don’t wait to be invited. Take the initiative and call the pastor of a nearby church where Christ is honored and His Word is preached.
